Though a relatively modern instrument, the bandoneon has undergone significant development primarily through its association with tango music. However, adapting and transcribing compositions by composers such as Frescobaldi, Bach, Scarlatti, and Chopin, among others, has played a crucial role in its technical evolution. Moreover, the exploration of contemporary repertoire specifically written for the instrument continues to drive the bandoneon's pursuit of greater technical proficiency and artistic innovation.

To develop technique with the bandoneon, a specific repertoire is essential. This requires a deep understanding of the instrument's unique sound production mechanisms. Articulation is primarily achieved through the bellows, allowing for various variations in airflow: the sound column, that can be influenced or interfered with by various factors of movement.

The creation of an autonomous and specific repertoire for the bandoneon, aimed at developing a unique technique for the instrument, is an area that still holds much potential for exploration.

Composition has also led me to write music for chamber ensembles, orchestras, and film, where hybrid instrumentation plays a fundamental role.

Recognizing the significance of making transcriptions for the bandoneon. Valuing the creation of arrangements for solo bandoneón in a pedagogic manner. Additionally, arranging for versatile settings, including orchestra, tango orchestras, and other ensembles.
